Streetlight Brewing × Sapporo PARCO Original Craft Beer Released
Sapporo PARCO has collaborated for the first time with Streetlight Brewing, a craft beer brewery located in the Soen area of Sapporo, to brew (produce) a craft beer to commemorate Sapporo PARCO's 50th anniversary.
It is an evolved pilsner based on the German pilsner, which is loved by many in Japan, but with a more prominent hop aroma and flavor. It is said to have been first made by an Italian brewery, so it came to be called Italian pilsner, and became popular in America, the heart of craft beer. It is characterized by the use of traditional European hops, but also by the relatively new method of dry hopping.
It is very craft beer-like in that it updates traditional things with new methods, and it is a style that resonates with Sapporo PARCO's 50th anniversary statement, "P keeps on moving."
P (ilsner) is constantly moving! People, things, and events can only intersect by constantly moving. And it is only by intersecting that new discoveries and inspiration can be obtained. We named this beer "Intersection" in the hope that many new connections will be born through it.
With its elegant and gorgeous aroma and light taste, this Italian pilsner is suitable for anyone, and is perfect for a toast on the rooftop of PARCO. Speaking of Italy, PARCO means "park" in Italian. We hope that the park celebrating its 50th anniversary will be the setting for many toasts that will mark the next 50 years. Cheers!
