We have created opportunities for guests staying at our hotels to reflect on Hokkaido's rich nature and wildlife through a variety of initiatives, including selling concept rooms based on the adorable long-tailed tit, a wild bird that is representative of Hokkaido, holding a gallery exhibition of objects made from upcycled waste materials produced at the hotel, and holding workshops to learn about the SDGs.
We have renovated our rooms into relaxing concept rooms where you can take off your shoes and relax!
This year marks the 5th anniversary of the birth of the Shimaenaga Room, and we have returned to our roots and devised a new style of concept room, aiming to create a comfortable space that will be loved by more customers and a room that will enrich the soul.
The concept is "Feel free to relax and unwind. Enjoy a relaxing moment surrounded by long-tailed tits."
The walls are based on white and blue colors that evoke the winter when the long-tailed tit is at its most adorable, and are decorated with image art that incorporates Hokkaido scenery. This adds a new charm to the room, transforming it into a soothing space where you can feel the long-tailed tit throughout the room.
Guests are asked to take off their shoes at the entrance to the room, allowing them to relax as if they were at home even while traveling.
While maintaining the atmosphere, quality, and values that the rooms have always cherished, the interior design and accessories have been completely renewed and rebranded, transforming the rooms into comfortable interior spaces where guests can relax and feel at ease and familiarity.

Numerous collaborations with Hokkaido's leading creators
Guests will be greeted in their rooms by a mug featuring an adorable illustration of a long-tailed tit by Hokkaido native "Piyo Techo," as well as realistic-sized wool pom-pom stuffed animals by Hokkaido native "Shiroi Maru."

We have also prepared a "Long-tailed Tit Mini Library" with books related to the Long-tailed Tit. We hope that by learning more about the Long-tailed Tit and discovering new charms, you will be able to make your stay at your destination even more enriching and rewarding.
As a special benefit for staying at the hotel, each guest will receive an original Shimaenaga coaster from Itagaki Bags, a highly acclaimed leather craftsman representing Hokkaido, to take home as a memento of their stay.

The room is a spacious twin type. By adding an additional bed, up to three people can stay, making it perfect for making memories with family and friends, as well as for Shimaenaga fans.
