Nepeta 'Walker's Low' is in full bloom!
At Takino Suzuran Hillside National Park (247 Takino, Minami-ku, Sapporo), Nepeta 'Walker's Low' (catmint) has been in full bloom since June 15th (Monday).
At Takino Park, flowers that add color to the summer are beginning to bloom one after another, and in particular, Nepeta "Walker's Low" in the middle of the "Flower Pasture" in the Country Garden in the central zone has been in full bloom since June 15th (Monday). Also known as "catmint," it is characterized by its lavender (bluish-purple) flower color that stands out against the summer sky and the refreshing scent that can be enjoyed when touched.
The best time to see them is expected to continue until around the end of June.

Takino's Summer Vacation

Playing in the river
Summer means playing in the river! For an easy way to enjoy playing in the river, we recommend the Atsubetsu River, or if you want to fully enjoy the nature of Takino, we recommend the Forest Classroom or the Stream Square. With a large park, you can enjoy playing in the river in various locations depending on how you want to play.
Cool spots
Experience the coolness with all your senses! The sounds of flowing water and spray from natural waterfalls like Ashiribetsu Falls and Masumi Falls, sunlight filtering through the trees, and the sounds of insects—in Takino, surrounded by nature, you can feel the coolness with your whole body.
Cooling event
We're hosting a water play park where kids can play freely. We'll have water guns and other toys available for free rental, so they can have fun all day long. The contents of the play park will be a surprise on the day! Let's have a blast playing under the summer sky!
