The "Pan Dorobo Hiroba" (Bread Thief Plaza), an interactive event featuring characters from the hugely popular picture book "Pan Dorobo" (Bread Thief), which was held at ASOBUILD YOKOHAMA COAST from January 31st (Sat) to April 5th (Sun), 2026, and attracted over 70,000 visitors in total, will be held in Sapporo, Hokkaido this autumn.

"The Bread Thief Exhibition"
The Bread Thief Exhibition, which started at Matsuya Ginza in August 2024, is currently touring the country.
This exhibition will feature original artwork from "The Bread Thief," "The Bread Thief vs. The Fake Bread Thief," "The Bread Thief and the Mysterious French Bread," "The Bread Thief: Onigiri Boy's Journey," "The Bread Thief and the Hot Hot Car," "The Bread Thief and the Apple Mask," and "The Bread Thief and the Sweets Prince," as well as character designs and rough sketches. There will also be numerous photo spots where you can experience the world of The Bread Thief. Enjoy an exhibition space filled with the playful and surreal humor of The Bread Thief. Many commemorative goods featuring newly drawn artwork will also be available for purchase at the merchandise corner.

Born in Kochi Prefecture. Her picture book works include the "Meganeko" series (Tegami-sha), the "Shirokuma" series (PHP Institute), and the "Pan Dorobou" series (KADOKAWA). Her favorite breads are cheese bread and chocolate-covered twist bread.
