
This year's summer vacation event will be held in two parts: "Dr. Clark Week" and "Enjoy Summer Vacation Week"!
At the Sapporo Hitsujigaoka Observatory, a "Summer Vacation Event" will be held from Friday, July 25th to Friday, August 15th, 2025.
July 31st is Dr. Clark's birthday, and it is also the day he arrived in Sapporo in 1876. In commemoration of this, the first half of the event, from July 25th (Friday) to July 31st (Thursday), will be designated as "Dr. Clark Week" and events related to Dr. Clark will be held.
The latter half of the event, from Friday, August 1st to Friday, August 15th, will be a "Summer Vacation Enjoyment Week", during which there will be craft experiences perfect for independent study, mystery solving events, Bon Odori and fireworks experiences, and more.
This is an event that will help you create summer memories, so we look forward to your attendance and coverage.
In appreciation of the patronage of our residents over the years, we have introduced special rates for Sapporo residents starting April 1, 2025.
Sapporo Residents' Admission Fee: Adults: 500 yen Children (elementary and junior high school students): Free
Regular price: Adults: 1,000 yen Children (elementary and junior high school students): 500 yen
You will need to provide proof of residence in Sapporo, such as a driver's license or health insurance card (only applicable to the person in question).

There are two divisions: children (elementary school students and under) and adults (junior high school students and above). Participants will be asked to shout "Boys, be ambitious!" + their own ambitions, and compete to see who can shout the loudest.

Jingisukan no Jin-kun, a popular character both in and outside of Hokkaido who serves as the official Sapporo Smile PR ambassador for Sapporo City, will be visiting Hitsujigaoka Observatory, where a summer holiday event is being held.
Hitsujigaoka Observatory is Jin's hometown, and his adorable appearance will liven up the event.

We will be holding a Bon Odori and fireworks experience for three days only. Those who participate in the Bon Odori experience will receive a free handheld fireworks set and can experience fireworks in front of the statue of Dr. Clark. During this period, opening hours will be extended until 7:00 p.m. Enjoy the night view from Hitsujigaoka Observatory, which you can't usually see.
