Purpose of the event

Shiretoko, a World Heritage Site, has a hidden side to it: it has the highest salmon catch in Japan. However, the deliciousness and quality of the salmon is not yet widely known. The taste of wild salmon and salmon roe raised in the harsh natural environment of Shiretoko is the pride of Shari Town.

In order to change this situation, businesses in Shari Town, led by salmon fishermen, came together and planned this event as a way to promote salmon and promote the sixth industry. They hope to increase the value of the region by letting more people know about Shiretoko's specialty products and have them appreciate them.
