“Building a House in Hokkaido'' is a project that has been filmed on location for a long time since the program began. The highlight of the series is the wanderings of four people who gathered together for the first time in a while to build a “Doubou House'' in the mountains of Akabira City, Hokkaido, and was broadcast on terrestrial TV nationwide from 2019 to 2020.
In January of this year, Mr. Suzui, who was in Sapporo to record the side audio, revealed his honest feelings about House. It made the listeners, directors Fujimura and Ureshino, laugh a lot.
On the other hand, Mr. Oizumi, who was recorded in Tokyo this month, received a message from director Ureshino after the piano performance he performed at the tour final of the live "50th Anniversary!! Yo Oizumi Recital" held at Nippon Budokan just before that. There is also a side that reveals about long messages.
A portion of the much-hyped recording session is included on the DVD/Blu-ray as one of the bonus footage (commonly known as “secret footage''). You can catch a glimpse of the two in the video.

The new year of 2017.
Rather than planning a trip, the Doso Corps launched a project to build a house in the snowy Hokkaido region with the help of four members. The location is in the forest of Akabira City. Of course, it's not a full-fledged house, but a tree house built leaning against a tree in the forest. A tree house would probably be built in a few months. No, it was supposed to be built.
However, as expected, it took three years to complete. Why! Why did it take so many days? ?
Certainly, there were times when I was lazing around. A full year after construction was completed, only the stairs and landing had been completed. Above all, Hiroshi Oizumi, the lead actor, is not excited.
Fujimura, who has even built his own wooden deck for his home, and Suzui, who has even used a Yumbo in recent years, happily devote themselves to carpentry, but Hiroshi Oizumi has no interest in carpentry to begin with. Partly because of this, Yo Oizumi often finds himself sighing at construction sites every time he shoots on location, thinking, “I wonder if it's okay to say, “How about Wednesday?'' It's true that the project is about building a tree house, so the final scene ends with the house being completed. It's truly mediocre. But other than that, there will be no other ending. what will you do. Yo Oizumi did his best to cook and cook with all his might, even jumping out of the forest every night.
Everyone in the corps was inwardly wondering if there was anything they could do to turn the tide. It may be said that the team's hesitation unconsciously continued to lengthen the construction period. Is there anything? I wonder if it's okay as is.
However, it was an early spring morning in 2018 when it was still snowy.
“There's no point in lazing around any longer,'' said Yo Oizumi, who was busy, and the remaining three members of the group decided to stay overnight for a week to complete the construction work. The program came to an abrupt and shocking end. It was an ending that no one involved could have imagined. It was presented to the army as if to say, “Look at this.'' The army gasped in surprise. And I couldn't believe my eyes. I can not believe that. I can't believe there was such a terrifying ending. It was truly a revelation. It was God's work. As long as we do not give up, do not put up roots, and do our best, God will shine a light on the path ahead of our army and show us the path. "This is the last one," he said. God spoke in a silent voice.
The group let out a cry of joy, and then they spent another year and a half meticulously preparing the ending.

The chief director, who had spent his days pitching a tent on the snow in the frigid Akahira Forest and feeling responsible for somehow repaying Hiroshi Oizumi for his hard work, finally managed to create a hilarious climax to the program while speaking in his sleep.
"If he doesn't come, there will be no end to laughter on set."
The true feelings of the group, which appeared for the first time in the long history of "Wednesday Domo" on a day when Hiroshi Oizumi was not present, are painfully revealed. This is the project that Wednesday's group arrived at with all their wounds: “We're going to build a house in Hokkaido.'' This is interesting.
