“Hitsujigaoka Snow Park 2024” will be held at Sapporo Hitsujigaoka Observatory. Admission is free for junior high school students and under during the Sapporo Snow Festival!

*Tube sliding and Kamakura are scheduled to start from mid-January. The event period and event contents may change depending on snowfall and weather conditions. Please check the official website for the latest information.

At Sapporo Hitsujigaoka Observation Deck, we will hold the annual winter experience event “Hitsujigaoka Snow Park.'' You can enjoy a variety of snow activities for just the admission fee. You can also rent equipment such as walking skis for free, so you can play without bringing anything. This is a popular event attended by many people, including families and friends.

All experiences and equipment rental are free. Additionally, during the Sapporo Snow Festival period from February 4th (Sunday) to February 11th (Sunday/Holiday), admission will be free for junior high school students and younger. This is an event that citizens and tourists can enjoy, so we appreciate your cooperation in spreading the word.

◆From Friday, January 5, 2024

●Walking skiing experience We also recommend enjoying walking skiing while admiring the scenery of Sapporo. “Walking skiing'' is an easy way to take a walk on a pure white snowy field, and even first-time skiers can enjoy it as there is a short course.

●Mini snowman making experience (may be postponed depending on snow conditions)
“Mini snowman making'' allows anyone to easily make a one-of-a-kind snowman by filling a special container with snow. Once completed, take a photo together and enjoy.

●Snow slide (we rent various types of sleds)

Families with small children and those who are new to playing in the snow will enjoy this snow slide. We have various types of sleds available.

●Snow Strider (planned to be implemented with a reduced course)

The Snow Strider is a running bike that propels itself by kicking the ground with its feet, and is equipped with a ski attachment. Enjoy skiing on a special snow course (limited to ages 2 to 5).

●Tube slippage

“Tube sliding'' involves sliding down a snowy mountain on a rubber tube. Up to two people can ride the rubber tube at the same time, so parents and children can ski together! *Scheduled from mid-January 2024

●Kamakura

The large “Kamakura'' made from snow, which is surprisingly warm inside, is large enough to fit several adults, making it perfect for a break. *Scheduled from mid-January 2024

◆From mid-February 2024

●Smelt fishing style photo spot

A spot where you can take “breeze'' photos of people fishing for smelt. Use fishing rods, chairs, and more to take fun photos and share them! *Scheduled from mid-February 2024

●Snowball target

Throw the snowballs you made at the target and compete for points. Making snowballs that are easy to throw is also key to hitting the desired location. *Scheduled from mid-February 2024

■Others:

Hitsujigaoka Snow Park was first held in 2004. This year is the 20th time the event has been held. (Canceled in 2021)

The last time it was held for 59 days from January 6 to March 5, 2023, and the number of visitors during the period was approximately 47,000.
