Sapporo Hitsujigaoka Observatory “Free Lavender Harvesting Experience” Announcement

Enjoy the approximately 1,000 lavender fields planted in the 1,200 square meter field

At Sapporo Hitsujigaoka Observatory, which is famous for Dr. Clark's statue, we will hold a "Free Lavender Harvesting Experience" event from July 4th (Tue) to 17th (Mon/holiday).

Approximately 1,000 lavender plants planted in the 1,200 square meter field are at their best during this period. This event is a popular event where you can not only enjoy looking at the lavender, but also harvest it and take it home. Participation fee is free.

Date: July 4th (Tuesday) to July 17th (Monday / holiday), 2023 10: 00-15: 00

In addition, the experience may be interrupted or canceled due to weather, etc.

We will inform you about the change of period, cancellation, etc. on the official website.

Contents: Customers can experience harvesting by themselves (free), and we have scissors, rubber bands, and bags available at the facility.

You can take home about 50 bottles per person.

1. "# Hitsujigaoka Lavender" campaign

Lavender potpourri will be presented to those who post lavender soft serve and lavender photos with “#Hitsujigaoka Lavender” on SNS.

* Present the posting screen at the reception for the lavender harvesting experience. Up to 30 first-come-first-served basis per day.

2. Strawberry Daifuku specialty store "Pota Pota Ichigo" opened

Potapota Ichigo, a strawberry daifuku specialty store that opened at the Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill during Golden Week and gained popularity, will also open a store in Hitsujigaoka in the summer.

3. Strider experience

An area where you can enjoy the running bike "Strider" that kicks the ground with your feet is set up. Striders can be borrowed free of charge. You can play while feeling the majestic nature of Hitsujigaoka.

Target age is 2 to 5 years old. Participants must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

* The strider experience will continue even after the event ends.

In addition, it may be canceled in the event of rain or stormy weather.
