A popular youth story manga with a circulation of over 17 million, serialized from 2011 to 2019 in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan) with "Sweat, Tears and Livestock Dairy Youth Graffiti" as a catch phrase.
The stage is Hokkaido's agricultural high school "Oezo Agricultural High School" (Ezonor). The work, which depicts high school students who deepen their ties with their friends and find their way to the future while hitting various walls, sometimes humorously and sometimes seriously, became popular from the beginning of the series. It was made into a TV animation twice in 2013 and 2014, and a live-action movie was also released in 2014.
The author, Hiromu Arakawa, has a unique background in dairy farming and agriculture at his parents' home in Hokkaido until he attended an agricultural high school and made his debut as a manga artist. Based on his own experience and abundant coverage, he sharply and lovingly depicts the actual situation of the agricultural and livestock industry in modern Japan.
The main character of the story is Yuugo Hachiken, a high school student who grew up in a salaryman family in Sapporo, and entered Ezonor just because he had a dormitory after being frustrated at a high school. At first, he felt inferior to his classmates who had dreams and goals, and while he was confused about how to perceive the life of "livestock" and the current state of the agriculture and livestock industry, he grew up greatly through school life and relationships with the adults around him. To go.
