GREEN UTILITY expanded its joint project with Hokkaido Gas Co., Ltd. on April 19 and mocha also expanded to Marui Imai Sapporo Main Store and Sapporo Mitsukoshi.
The point of being able to charge the smartphone while shopping and the simultaneous discharge function of the "disaster mode" with mocha at the time of a disaster triggered the introduction. Two large mocha machines (30 batteries can be stored) are placed at the Marui Imai Sapporo Main Store and Sapporo Mitsukoshi, respectively.
The Green Utility and Hokkaido Gas joint projects, which started in February this year, have made new progress. In addition to the shopping facilities directly connected to JR Sapporo Station, the smartphone charging service of mocha mobile battery sharing was introduced at the Marui Imai Sapporo Main Store and Sapporo Mitsukoshi. Two large mocha machines are located at each shopping facility.
In addition to providing smartphone charging service to customers coming to the store, it can also be expected to be effective as a spare battery in the event of a disaster.

mocha (Mocha) is a coined word from "mobile charge" and is a smartphone charging service called mobile battery sharing. We have been developing services in earnest since last autumn (2018). At the end of the year, a joint project with KDDI Co., Ltd. developed 22 mocha stations in Hakuba-mura, Nagano Prefecture. In the snow season, it has been well received by customers who far exceeded expectations.

Mobile Battery Sharing is a business model that originated in China from 2014. In mainland China, it has already been provided as a service to various shops and public facilities to the extent that it has become widespread.
Even in Japan, the degree of dependence on smartphones tends to increase year by year, but mocha has appeared while traditional public charging stations are already separated from usage needs.
