A special event will be held at a historical cultural facility in Sapporo! Plus, Machibasha will transport you to the venue!

As part of our efforts to rediscover and promote the new charm and culture of Sapporo, the Sapporo Hotel and Ryokan Association
We will be holding a special event, "Sapporo Geisha Appreciation & Ozashiki Experience," set in a historical building in Sapporo city.
At its peak in the 1950s, Sapporo boasted a rich history of geisha culture, with over 40 restaurants with tatami rooms and over 300 geisha. The program will showcase the new charms of Sapporo through programs including Japanese dance and o-zashiki games, set at three historic venues in the city: the former Nagayama Takeshiro residence, Toyohirakan, and Nakamuraya Ryokan.
This event will allow tourists and locals alike to experience the new charms of Sapporo and experience something out of the ordinary, through activities such as watching Japanese dance, taking commemorative photos, and enjoying ozashiki-asobi (traditional Japanese games) with geisha.

Furthermore, you will be taken to the event venue by a horse-drawn carriage, allowing you to leisurely enjoy the streets of Sapporo! This will make for a special day. Enjoy this unique experience that combines Sapporo's history with geisha culture.
In addition, a promotional event for this project will be held at the Sapporo Factory on both September 14th and 15th from 1pm at the Sosei East Aozora Festival, a special event that promotes history, culture, and individuality!

<Notes>
This plan applies to adults and children (ages 2 and over). Children under the age of 2 can participate free of charge, but no seats will be provided.
●On the day of the tour, please arrive in Sapporo (Odori BISSE) 10 minutes before the meeting time. If you are late, the carriage will depart on time, so you may not be able to participate. In this case, there will be no refund.
You are free to take photos and videos of the geisha, but you are not allowed to leave your seat during the performance. In addition, there will be a time set aside for groups of customers to take photos with the geisha in the latter half of each performance.
●Seating arrangements are determined in advance based on the order of application, and are not unreserved seating. Please note that seating arrangements may change even within the same group.
●If you are accompanied by small children, please make sure they do not make any noise or leave their seats once the performance has started.
●To check in on the day, please present the "Reservation Completion Email" to the tour guide at the meeting point.
If you are coming by car, please park in the parking lot near Sapporo Odori Park and meet up there. If you are using public transportation, take the Sapporo Municipal Subway Namboku Line, Tozai Line, or Toho Line to Odori Station, which is directly connected to the Sapporo Ekimae-dori underground pedestrian space "Chi-Ka-Ho" (Exit 13).
After the geisha viewing experience, the tour will be dismissed. There will be no transportation provided, so please make your own way home.
