“Kawami”, a culture that originated in Sapporo, is set to be held again this year!

The long run will be held for 15 days from Saturday, August 17th to Saturday, August 31st on the Horohira Bridge riverbed (left bank).

The event was first held in 2017, and this year marks its 8th year.

The term "river-viewing weather" has been coined, and awareness of this weather is gradually increasing among Sapporo residents.

"Flower viewing in spring, river viewing in summer"

During the warm summer months, you can spend your time on the riverbank enjoying the sound of the flowing river and the murmuring of the stream.

The Toyohira River, a first-class river that flows through the middle of Sapporo, a city of 2 million people, is a wonderful location that preserves the beauty of nature even in the city. If you're lucky, you can see salmon swimming upstream in the fall.

You can enjoy delicious food, alcohol, and soft drinks right in front of the river.

"River View"

People who enjoy river viewing tend to stay for long periods of time.

The Toyohira River's overwhelming presence and never-ending scenery have led many people to say that they don't need any unnecessary background music.

There are more than 10 food trucks and stalls lined up, so you'll never get bored of the food, no matter how many days you come.

The empty-handed BBQ corner is a popular booth every year.

If it's too hot, dipping your ankles in the river is the best way to cool off.

Spending summer at the river is a special time, so please come with your family, friends, or even by yourself.

Experience the luxury of being able to stay where you want.

Another attraction of the river is the illuminated Horohira Bridge.

The beauty of the illuminated bridge reflected on the water is stunning.

Many people come to take photos, and the number of fans is gradually increasing, asking if it will be lit up again this year.

The Toyohira River runs through Sapporo's city center and residential areas.

I am convinced that when the day comes when we can light up all of the bridges that connect the economy and daily life, this will become a tourist resource that Sapporo can be proud of around the world.
