Hokkaido has cultivated its own unique food culture, such as Genghis Khan when it comes to BBQ, and parfait when it comes to side dishes.
This story is set in a small bento shop called "Kumaben" in Sapporo, Hokkaido.
Oga Chiharu (Kubota Sayu) is an office worker who has been transferred from Tokyo to Sapporo, feeling rock bottom after her boyfriend made a move on her. One night, he meets the mysterious genius chef Yusuke Ogami (Hiroki Iijima) at Kumaben, a bento shop tucked away in a back alley. Chiharu ordered a “Zangi bento,'' but for some reason, Yuu makes a different “salmon kama'' bento. This special bento box made with Chiharu in mind will thaw her frozen heart… Eventually, the bento made by Yuu's kind intervention gained a reputation as a “magical bento.'' Then, troubled customers begin to visit Kumaben. Before she knew it, Chiharu, who was modest, began to make the inner wishes of the people who visited Kumaben come true with Yuu's magical bento. A story of northern bento boxes that will satisfy both your stomach and soul with exquisite bento boxes made with plenty of Hokkaido ingredients and wonderful treats!
