The weight of an ice block used for making sculpture is about 120kg. In the festival that exhibits about 60 sculptures, the total number of ice blocks is more than 1,500, and the total weight is more than 180 tons. It is enough for 1.2 million glasses for enjoying whiskey.

Creating an ice sculpture takes three days. About 200 people are working on their respective sculpture all night long. The best working temperature is below negative 10℃; therefore, when the temperature warms up, they use dry ice to keep the ice cold enough for carving.
